CIE specializes in implementation of both non-formal and formal education approaches in international settings, particularly those in crisis contexts. CIE also provides a wide variety of services to help countries develop policy frameworks, degree programs, curriculum, teacher training, and supervisory structures for their education systems. As a result of these activities, CIE has produced nearly 400 documents and publications. All of them are now available on the UMass Scholarworks site. They include.
