Svetlana (Pivovar) Dmitrieva made a surprise visit to the home of DRE & Gretchen in early August.  Svetlana and her family had come to Boston so her husband Sergei could attend a conference.  They made a side trip to Amherst to visit UMass and drop in on a couple of retired faculty members! 

Svetlana currently has a post-doctoral appointment at the University of South Carolina.
