The Senior Celebration for the College of Natural Sciences took place at the Mullins Center on Sunday, May 19th, 2024. Chemistry Senior Owen Doyle was selected by his peers to serve as a Student Marshal and he along with Prof. Michael Barnes, the Graduate
Program Director, led the chemistry procession. Chemistry graduates were individually congratulated on stage by our Department Head, Prof. Ricardo Metz and and CNS Dean Michael Fox.
The university's Undergraduate Commencement ceremony
was held on Saturday, May 18th, at 10 a.m. at McGuirk Alumni Stadium, marking the
154th commencement, with approximately 6,800 undergraduate students receiving degrees.
This year's Chemistry Senior Class Award went to Pranav Viswanathan for his exemplary scholarship and citizenship. Pranav's classmates voted for him factoring his academics, teaching, research, and community involvement.
