Chemical Education
BS 2004, The Ohio State University; PhD 2010, The Ohio State University
Principal Research Interests:
After finishing his PhD, Dr. McDaniel spent a year at Kansas State University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of organic chemistry and Director of Undergraduate organic chemistry laboratories. His main focus is the instruction, advising and assisting undergraduate students in understanding organic chemistry and general chemistry when the opportunity arises. While not research faculty, Dr. McDaniel’s interests rely in the broad realm of synthetic organic chemistry, and more specifically developing novel methods of organocatalytic reactions.
