Research Interests:

The Chen group's research aims to develop groundbreaking single-molecule nanopore technology to push the boundaries of genomics and proteomics. We are particularly interested in these areas: 1) point-of-care nanopore biosensors for disease diagnosis; 2) nanopore tweezers unraveling the structural dynamics of proteins, and uncovering new inhibitors or molecular glues against biological molecules implicated in cancer and infectious diseases; 3) single-molecule protein sequencing; 4) design new nanopores for genomic DNA/RNA sequencing with enhanced precision.
