Condensed Biography:

Ph.D., University of Illinois (1996)
B.Sc., University of Madras (1989)
M.Sc., Indian Institute of Technology (1991)

Affiliations:

Faculty, Materials Science and Engineering Graduate Program

Research Interests:

Our research spans the area of doped organic semiconductors, hybrid inorganic semiconductors, iontronic materials and photovoltaics. We investigate how intentionally introduced dopants impact charge transport ion organic semiconductors. We also study light-induced ion transport in halide perovskites and strategies to control ion migration. These materials hold promise for various existing and emerging applications in organic and soft electronics and iontronics. Students get trained in the areas of synthetic materials chemistry (organic & inorganic), materials characterization, device fabrication and performance metrics. The group welcomes undergraduates and graduates from a diverse backgrounds such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, and Materials Science & Engineering.
