Interim Vice Chancellor for Advancement
The Interim Vice Chancellor for Advancement serves as chief development officer for the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her office is responsible for engaging stakeholders in meaningful interactions that foster pride, advocacy, and philanthropic contributions from over 270,000 alumni and donors worldwide. Working in collaboration with campus leadership and deans, the Interim Vice Chancellor for Advancement is responsible for planning and implementing—in concert with the university’s mission—a comprehensive program for garnering private and corporate support as well as providing leadership for significant giving through capital campaigns.
The advancement division is built on a fully integrated model of fundraising, alumni engagement, and communications that bolster the university’s strategic plan. The division oversees activities pertaining to major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, principal gifts, stewardship, constituent programs, corporate and foundation relations, alumni relations, advancement marketing and communications, and data and analytics.
In partnership with the UMass Amherst Foundation and UMass Amherst Alumni Association, the division operates in a philanthropic environment that is able to respond to unique opportunities that further the university’s progress toward its aspirations.
