CESL Director / Professor of Architecture
Joseph directs the CESL office and works to promote civic engagement and service-learning initiatives across campus and throughout western Massachusetts. He represents CESL in numerous committees on and off campus and co-coordinates the CESL Faculty Fellows program. On sabbatical spring/summer 2023.
Eva Friedman Hull
Eva manages enrollments, finance, personnel, and all of the other odds and ends that help an office work.
Senior Lecturer / The Boltwood Project Academic Director
Ellen serves as the Academic Director for a student-run service-learning program—The Boltwood Project—and teaches Learning through Community Engagement, an introductory service learning course, as well as senior capstone classes. For spring/summer 2023 Ellen is the Acting CESL Director.
Senior Lecturer / CSP Program Director
Deborah oversees the Community Scholars Program (CSP) and teaches courses both in the CSP and in CESL more broadly.
Community Partnership Coordinator
Chris works with CESL students, faculty and staff on building and sustaining reciprocal relationships with our community partners.
CESL Academic Advisor & Student Outreach Coordinator
Candice advises students in the Civic Engagement and Public Service (CEPS) certificate program and the CivX track of the Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration (BDIC), teaches Learning through Community Engagement, and oversees CESL's outreach and undergraduate advising.
IMPACT Program Director/Course Instructor
Terrell is the Program Director for IMPACT. IMPACT is a first-year residential academic service-learning program.
