Community Orientations

See Below for Information on "Holyoke Bound" and "Springfield Bound." These events are day-long orientations for students who plan to work, learn and/or volunteer in Holyoke or Springfield. "Holyoke Bound" happens once every semester, while "Springfield Bound" occurs once a year, typically in the Fall semester.

What is Holyoke Bound?

A day-long gathering for students, staff, and faculty members from the Five College Consortium interested in working, interning, volunteering, and collaborating with residents and community organizations in the city of Holyoke. Join us to learn about the rich cultural history of this city and its people.

Event includes: Transportation, continental breakfast, workshops and networking, a traditional Puerto Rican lunch, and entertainment.

What is Springfield Bound?

Springfield Bound is a day-long orientation for students who plan to work, learn and/or volunteer in Springfield, Massachusetts. Learn about the rich history and all the neighborhoods that make up this great city.

Event Includes: Free lunch provided by local restaurants and round trip bus transportation to the event from Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges and the University of Massachusetts, for pre-registered participants only.

You must register online in advance. A form will be posted on the Five College Springfield Bound website one month before the event.
