For the SL designation, only- Additional information that will be helpful for the committee to consider:
- If you already have an established community partner for your course, please share a bit about that partnership, what the goals are and how the students will be engaged.
- A key component of Service-Learning is regular reflection on the service, which connects the students’ service experiences to the learning goals for the course. If your syllabus does not specifically address reflection, please attach documentation that demonstrates the role of this practice in your course.
- Your grading rubric will likely tell us how you assess student learning related to their service. If this is not part of your syllabus, please provide it.
- In order to assess the partnership between the course and the community organization(s), at the close of the semester we will ask your community partner(s) to complete the brief, online CESL partner survey.
