Chloe Spurr

Chloe graduated from UMass Amherst in 2024 with a BS in Public Health and a secondary major in Economics. She was first introduced to CESL through her Honors Discovery Seminar with John Reiff, in which she completed a research project on mass incarceration and Bryan Stevenson's Equal Justice Initiative. She then went on to participate in the Community Scholars Program and to earn the Civic Engagement and Public Service Certificate. Alongside the Western Massachusetts chapter of Science for the People, Chloe held a workshop for science educators interested in incorporating social justice themes into their classroom for her capstone project. 

Before becoming CESL's academic advisor and student outreach coordinator, she served as an undergraduate assistant in the office.
