Open to All

John W. Lederle Endowed Student Internship Fund in Public and Non-Profit Service Scholarship

Provide financial aid for selected undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst who would benefit from practical internship experience with local, state, and national government or non-profit agencies. Requirements: Have secured an internship for summer with a local, state, or national government or non-profit agency. 
Award: $2,000
Deadline to apply: Late April

Kathryn F. Furcolo Award

Recognizes students who participated in an unpaid internship in public service or government, and who demonstrate outstanding service to the community.  Applications are submitted after students have completed their internships. 
Award: $250-$2,000, depending on number of winners
Deadline to apply: Late April

Life Members Internship Award

Support the academic and career pursuits of commendable students from diverse campus populations whose records suggest that they will develop into alumni with admirable leadership qualities upon graduation. Criteria: Freshman, Sophomore or Junior, minimum 3.0 GPA.
Award: $2,000
Deadline to apply: Early February

Maureen Flanagan Fund

Established to provide scholarships for undergraduate students, with a preference for women, who have demonstrated financial need as indicated in the content of their Financial Aid Application. Will offer students opportunities above and beyond the standard college experience such as, but not limited to, study abroad, research, summer internships, alternative spring breaks, community service, or other initiatives that complement and enhance the chosen course of study of the students selected.
