Often, you can earn more money in other fields, but the benefits of working in public service are unbeatable for many. You may also be eligible for student loan forgiveness if you take a public service job. To qualify for loan forgiveness, jobs must be in government, nonprofit organizations, or certain types of not-for profit programs.
