Field Operations Assistant

Provide supervision and maintenance of Recreation Turf Fields. Maintain field cleanliness and safety. Issue and collect equipment and assist with setup and breakdown of scheduled events. Enforce policies and serve as a liaison between participants and Campus Recreation staff. Typical work hours 4:00-9:00pm. Qualifications: work study preferred, current adult CPR/AED certification strongly preferred, good communication.

Injury Care Provider

Accepting Applications
Provide first aid to intramural sports participants. Typical work hours between 4:00-11:30pm Monday-Thursday (early and late shift) and some Saturdays. Qualifications: work study preferred, current first aid & CPR/AED certification required, current EMT certification preferred.

Campus Recreation hires students as sports officials. Officials work with their peers to provide a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment for intramural participants. Officials are encouraged to officiate multiple sports to gain knowledge and skills necessary for advancement.

Qualifications: work study preferred, knowledge of playing rules and/or playing experience, good communication skills. Apply by attending the officials clinics for that activity/sport. One can apply to be an official for multiple activities.

Intramural OfficialsClinic Dates - Fall 2021

Typical fall semester work week:
Field Hockey: Mondays-Thursdays 6:00-9:00pm, 2-6 hours/week
Flag Football: Mondays-Thursdays 5:00-11:00pm, 6-12 hours/ week
Soccer: Mondays-Thursdays 4:30-6:30pm, 4-8 hours/week
Volleyball: Mondays-Thursdays 6:30-10:30pm, 4-12 hours/week

Typical spring semester work week:
Basketball: Mondays-Thursdays 6:30-10:30pm, 4-8 hours/week
Co-Rec Soccer: Mondays-Thursdays 5:00-7:00pm, 4-8 hours/week
Floor Hockey: Mondays-Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm, 3-9 hours/week
4 on-4 Flag Football: Mondays-Thursdays 8:00-10:00pm, 4-8 hours/week
Softball: Mondays-Thursdays 5:00-9:00pm, 4-10 hours/week

Requirements include officiating make-ups and attending mandatory in-season meetings. Seasons last approximately 5-7 weeks.

Sport Supervisor

Advancement available to current officials
Sport supervisors are sports officials who demonstrate mastery of their craft and desire for self-improvement through experiential learning opportunities, both on and off campus. These individuals exhibit a strong commitment to the Intramural Sports program and the Campus Recreation community. They are responsible for assisting in training, evaluating and mentoring sports officials and making sure everyone has a safe, fair and fun environment while participating.

Program Assistant

Advancement available to current sport supervisors
Program assistant is the highest student position within Intramural Sports. Program assistants train, schedule and manage sports officials in their assigned activities, coordinate and schedule sport activities and serve as extensions of the full-time staff. Several program assistants have gone on to pursue a career in collegiate recreation.
