As a large and decentralized university system with many schools, departments, and initiatives, UMass has a wide range of websites—each contributing to the university’s overall digital presence. Web guidelines enable a unified brand presence while helping users find what they need quickly and intuitively.
Consistent Website Platforms
The university supports four website platforms: Homepage Suite, Web Ecosystem, Framework, and CampusPress. Each platform adheres to brand guidelines to ensure uniformity across all websites. Additionally, software and branding updates are easily deployed across each platform to keep your website current.
Homepage Suite
- Homepage Suite is the digital front door of the university, a top-level platform that powers the main umass.edu website and includes admissions, financial aid, and news.
Web Ecosystem
- The Web Ecosystem is the cloud-based paradigm for creating and launching up-to-date and on-brand websites for schools and colleges at the university.
Framework
- Framework is the university-hosted platform inspired by Web Ecosystem that brings academic department and administrative unit websites into the current version of Drupal.
CampusPress
- CampusPress is a cloud-based installation of WordPress designed for faculty, student organizations, research labs, personal scholarly websites, and smaller website projects.
The website platforms are a partnership. Use them to launch faster, stay secure, and tap into expert support. Align your content with UMass priorities to help move the brand forward.
