The CBIKS Central staff support the team through financial and research administration, cross-team communication, events support, and facilitation. Members are listed below.
Regional Research Hub Co-Leads
NSF CBIKS hubs are led by co-leads at universities or NGOs. Co-leads facilitate input to their hub’s research agenda and design opportunities for network-building and engagement within their hub. International programs in Australia and the Pacific Islands are supported through supplementary funds from UMass Amherst. Hub Co-leads are listed below.
Transforming Science Co-Laboratory Leads
The Transforming Science Co-Laboratories (Co-Labs) address a distinct theme within the CBIKS Indigenous Research Circle. Co-Labs learn alongside Hubs to build research portfolios in their specific thematic area. This work includes creating guidance documents, facilitating cross-institutional and cross-cultural dialogues, and producing impactful scholarship that advances knowledge in each thematic area. Co-Lab Leads are listed below.
Postdoctoral Scholars
NSF CBIKS Postdoctoral Scholars support the Center’s research, education, and community-engaged work. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, they contribute to projects that respectfully braid Indigenous Knowledges and Western scientific approaches.
