The UMass Natural History Collections has a new exhibit: "Where Life Lives." On display are specimens from a range of terrestrial biomes and oceanic trophic zones. Our sperm whale is back along with bighorn sheep, deep sea invertebrates, and a host of other species from deep ocean to alpine tundra. The exhibit is in Morrill 2, room 146 and will be open Monday-Friday 10:00-5:00, September 24-October 11.

Also now open are two collections-related exhibits at the UMass Contemporary Art Museum. Please see this link to find out more about BREACH: LOGBOOK 24 | STACCATO by Courtney Leonard, the result of a multi-year artist in residency focusing on UMNHC's right whale specimen, and Abundant in Drift by Maggie Nowinski, inspired by the UMass Herbarium.
