Two Biology Department labs presented their research at the annual Northeast Society of Developmental Biology (NESDB) meeting, which was held April 25-27, 2025 at the Marine Biological Laboratories (MBL) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Undergraduate Ben Tang from the Karlstrom Lab and Postdoc Harshada Sant from the Katz lab were both chosen to give 2 minute “Fast Track” talks before presenting their posters on Saturday night. Ben’s Poster was entitled “Diverse roles for Hedgehog signaling in post-embryonic brain development”, and Harshada’s presentation was entitled “Neurogenesis in the nudibranch mollusc Berghia stephanieae.” Five RichCo Fellows from the Karlstrom lab were able to attend the meeting thanks to the generosity of Dr. Steven Richter (UMass ‘77) and the RichCo Research Awards program.
