The Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series is a yearly series whose goal is to acknowledge the work of the University’s most esteemed and accomplished faculty members. The Series has been recognizing faculty members across campus since 1974. All honorees are presented with the Chancellor’s Medal, the highest recognition that is given to faculty by the University.
One of this year’s faculty members who was chosen is Jeff Podos. Podos’s lab studies bioacoustics. The model system they mainly use are songbirds. Using songbirds, Podos studies how bird songs are linked to feeding ecology, beak structure, and evolution.
The Biology Department would like to congratulate Jeff Podos on being chosen for this Series.
