The Bittman Lab started a new, 2-year NIH-funded project in a collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Evans at Marquette University. The grant funds research to track circadian rhythms in brain and tissue slices of Syrian hamsters using a transgenic strain which we have created in which luciferase reports expression of the Period2 gene.
