Majors week at UMass Amherst is designed to encourage students to learn about other majors. To encourage students to visit the Biology department and learn about the major, the Biology Undergraduate Office held a week-long contest. From Oct 20th- Oct 24th, there was an animal skull on display and students had to guess what animal the skull belonged to. Any student who correctly answered what animal’s skull was on display would be entered into a raffle for a UMass hat.
The winner, Mei Zhou, and the correct answer, gray fox, was announced on October 27th. Thank you to all the students who participated and to The Natural History Collections for letting us borrow one of their skull replicas.
