Three Biology Department Labs Presented at Annual SICB


Three Biology Department labs presented at the annual Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) meeting, which was held Jan 2-6, 2024 in Seattle WA. The Stager, Gerson, and Katz labs all presented their research. 

Dr. Gerson and Dr. Stager, along with postdoc Dr. Cory Elowe organized a symposium highlighting recent advancements in the mechanistic understanding of Avian responses to environmental change, which included speakers from the US, Canada, and Vienna.  In addition to the symposium, there was a complementary oral session and a complementary poster session.  Dr. Gerson, Dr. Stager, Dr. Elowe and Gerson lab PhD candidate Beth Rogers all presented.

Paul Katz's lab had three oral presentations by NSB PhD student, Kate Otter, OEB Darwin Fellow, Cheyenne Tait, and undergraduate Kassidy Ye. They also had three poster presentations by undergraduates: Sarah DeAmicis, Kriti Dhiman, Alexzander Cook, and Gianna Misuraca.
