The Herbarium Collections Manager maintains a collection of 275,000 herbarium specimens of vascular and non-vascular plants which are used for research and plant identification for faculty, students, and the general public. Part of this includes being a database manager of the herbarium collection which means keeping all specimens with their updated nomenclature and publishing this data to herbarium portals used around the world. Also, trains and encourages students, volunteers, and general public in herbarium management including collecting, identifying and mounting plants.
