Make an Appointment with a BMB Advisor!
Check-out this step-by-step tutorial on how to make a BMB Advising appointment
Enrollment Holds
To help ensure a timely graduation, all BMB majors are required to meet with an advisor before they register for classes. The enrollment hold can be lifted by meeting with a BMB Peer Advisor during their office hours, or by scheduling an appointment with a BMB Academic Advisor.
Note: Holds will not be taken off immediately after your advising meeting, but will be lifted in time for your individual enrollment appointment.
Meet with a BMB Writing Fellow!
The BMB Writing Fellows are available to help BMB majors with a variety of writing projects, from class assignments to applications for grad school, scholarships, and grants. Contact them for help at any stage of the writing process! Email each Writing Fellow individually to schedule an in-person meeting, or to get access to their Zoom link.

NEW Travel Award for BMB Undergraduates
The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) department has a travel award available for undergraduates who are looking for financial assistance to attend a conference, meeting, workshop, etc. Students should complete an application, which is reviewed by BMB Academic Affairs Committee, and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If funds are available, BMB will cover up to $500 in travel expenses with the expectation that a student's PI or other funding sources will match the amount that BMB contributes. Preference is given to students who present talks or posters at meetings.
Students working in a BMB lab should ask their PI for more information about how to apply for a travel award. Students working in labs outside of BMB should contact Amy Springer at chiefadvisor@biochem.umass.edu to access the application.
