Three seniors in the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology department were named Rising Researchers for the Fall 2018 semester. The Rising Researchers program recognizes undergraduates at UMass Amherst who excel in research, challenge their intellect, and exercise exceptional creativity.

Bianca Edozie '19 works in the Ross lab to explore various behavioral aspects of microtubules. 

Nicholas Fragola '19 is a member of the Tyson lab, where he works on finding a cheap, simple, and accurate way to measure arsenic levels in rice. 

Taylor Guertin '19 studies the role of Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) signaling in liver development in the Tremblay lab. 

All of the Rising Researchers will be honored for their achievements at a Chancellor's reception in April.
