The department is proud to announce that our fall 2022 junior year
writing course will be taught by award winning author Molly B. Burnham.
A native of Washington DC, Molly grew up in the early hardcore and punk
scene of the 1980s before studying theater in London and going on to get
her Master’s degree in Elementary Education and an MFA in Writing for
Children. Molly has published three books in the Teddy Mars series, for
which she won the Sid Fleischman Humor Award in 2016. We are privileged
to have the opportunity to bring Molly to UMass for the fall semester,
as we believe her rich background and passion for writing will foster a
truly innovative, interdisciplinary writing course for BDIC students.
