BDIC Advising provides academic advising services tailored for BDIC majors, as well as individuals interested in this major, offering comprehensive information and support essential for achieving their academic objectives.
Who is my Advisor?
Every BDIC major is assigned an academic advisor who can help you with course selection, registration, understanding requirements and checking your progress toward graduation.
Students with last name starting with A-K and Seniors: Rebecca Schwartz
Students with last name starting with L-Z: Jacqueline Castledine
For more complex advising issues, you are encouraged to meet with the Chief Academic Advisor, Rebecca Schwartz.
- Prior approval to take BDIC courses at another college or university
- Approval of study abroad, domestic exchange and Five College courses
- Requesting late adds, late drops, late withdrawals, or late changes to pass/fail
- Requesting to enroll in more than 19 credits in one semester
- Petitions to enroll beyond the 10th semester
- Reinstatement from probation or suspension

How to make an appointment on Navigate
Log in to Navigate to make an advising appointment using your campus NetID and password.
- Select the blue "Make an Appointment" button.
- Under what type of appointment would you like to schedule? select Advising.
- Choose the reason for the appointment. When in doubt, choose Academic Advising.
- Select a date then click "Find Available Time" to see your assigned advisor's calendar.
Meet with a BDIC Peer Advisor
BDIC Peer Advisors can help with:
- Explaining the first steps for studying abroad and how the process works for BDIC students
- Reviewing your curcurriculum with you
- Sharing examples of past curricula
- Answering questions about the Senior Summary
- Responding to general BDIC questions
How to make an appointment with a BDIC Peer Advisor
Log in to Navigate
- Click the blue "Make an Appointment" button.
- Under what type of appointment would you like to schedule? select Peer Advising.
- For Location select BDIC-Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration
- In the next drop down menu, select either Study Abroad Information or BDIC Peer Advising
- Select a date then click "Find Available Time" to see our availability.
