Seth Lawrence-Slavas Presents the First BCT Lecture of Spring 2022

Seth Lawrence-Slavas, President and Principal at Wright Builders Inc. (and BCT Alumnus!), presented a lecture titled Affordable High Performance Construction and the COVID Era. Ben Weil Speaks About Operating Buildings During COVID

Ben Weil presented lessons learned in consulting with building owners, operators, constructors, and renovators working to operate safely and profitably in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Guidance from government and international health agencies as well as professional societies can be helpful but can also be confusing. This presentation provided some interpretation of the standards in light of recent evidence and provide some guidance in thinking through the best practices to minimize risks. Weil looked at short-term approaches to operations, and considered how investments to address covid risk now can pay off in the long-run by saving energy while providing healthier, more comfortable, more productive, and safer indoor environments. https://youtu.be/x4v757njYMA   Links Benjamin Weil, UMass Amherst, BCT Faculty Member  ...
