Summary: The Eastern Canadian and US Northeast Sections held a joint meeting in June with a wide range of speakers presenting on the topic of engineered wood. Fredericton, New Brunswick, a small city and university town on the banks of the Saint John River played host to 38 conference attendees.  The meeting consisted of a full day of technical sessions followed by a day of plant tours including the Norbord I-joist Plant and the J.D. Irving Nursery, both in Juniper, NB, and the Grand Lake Timber Mill in Chipman. (Originally published in Forest Prod. J.,56(7/8): 14-15 2006)
