Miles Payson is a psychology major from Salem, Massachusetts. He is a member of the trumpet section. Miles first started on the Ad Staff as a part of the Publicity and Recruitment staff and became the manager last season. He highlights the UMMB as a main reason for choosing UMass as the place to pursue his education. He enjoys beatboxing with his a cappella group and watching all sports but his favorite team is the Celtics! Miles is beyond excited to be in this position and is most excited to get to know the band on a new level. This season he is looking forward to band camp and the preparation for the season but most specifically Macy's Day Parade as that is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Lilly Barnett

Lilly Barnett is a journalism and political science student from Fort Worth, Texas. When she started her college search several years ago, she was immediately drawn to UMass after watching the UMMB perform. She auditioned to be a featured twirler in April of 2022 and immediately committed to UMass once she earned a spot. Her first season with the UMMB was in the fall of 2022, and in the spring of 2023, she began twirling with the Hoop/Ice band and became a member of the UMMB merchandising staff, in addition to helping to run the social media accounts. After her most recent marching season, she decided to go out for a position on the UMMB’s executive staff, which is how she earned the position as the travel manager for 2024. A fun fact about Lilly is that she used to play bassoon for her high school’s wind ensemble and symphony orchestra. During her senior year of high school, her school’s orchestra traveled to perform at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago and the Texas Music Educators Association Music Convention in San Antonio. Lilly is really looking forward to being more involved in the UMMB for the upcoming season and getting to know more band members. Dakota Incorvaia

Dakota Incorvaia is a Pre-Veterinary Science major from New Milford, CT. She plays piccolo in the UMMB as well as flute in the Spring Concert Band. This will be her fourth season with the UMMB, and she has previously served on the Audio & Visual Staff for two of those seasons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, fostering kittens, and listening to music. A fun fact about Dakota is that she spends her summers volunteering at an aquarium! She is so proud to be this year's Personnel Manager and can't wait to meet so many new people! She is looking forward to seeing the great things the band will accomplish! @email.
Aidan Beckman

Aidan Beckman is a Building and Construction Technology Major from Framingham, MA. Going into his Senior year at UMass, he is ambitious to gain as much experience as possible while he prepares to get into the job market. This year he serves a dual-role as our Special Projects Manager and our Front Ensemble Section Leader. This will be his fourth year in the UMMB and his second year on Field Staff. Aidan has spent his past two summers doing construction management internships; 2023: Engineer Intern at Perini Management Services Inc.; 2024: Field Operations Intern at Consigli Construction Co. He is also employed as a bouncer at our local Antonio's Pizza By The Slice in Amherst. Outside of band and work, Aidan is a major film enthusiast and enjoys the work of Christopher Nolan, Quentin Taratino, Adam McKay, and Paul Thomas Anderson.
