Drum Majors and Field Staff

Marielle is a senior music education major from Portsmouth, RI. Joining first as a member of the alto saxophone section, this will now be Marielle's third year serving on the Drum Major team. She is very excited to take on this new season and can't wait to march down the streets of New York with the best band anywhere at the Macy's Parade! Outside of band, she spends most of her time either at the Fine Arts Center or in search of a great restaurant. After UMass, Marielle plans on pursuing a career in conducting and music education. She knows it can be exciting yet intimidating to join our UMMB family, so she'd love to get to know you better and answer any questions you may have at @email. Rebekah is a senior Public Health major from San Diego, California! She enjoyed three years in the Flute section (Sparkle Hut!), with two years as a Field Staff and Section Leader; this will be her first year as a Drum Major. Rebekah is also a Sister of Tau Beta Sigma, a service sorority within the band! She is thrilled to be back with the group again and contribute to the Power and Class; outside of rehearsals and games, Rebekah works as a bus driver for UMass Transit, plays Tenor with the Pep band (#GoUMass), and drinks a whole lot of iced coffee in the ILC. Brayden is a sophomore music education and trombone performance major from Bridgewater, MA. Previously from the trombone section, this will be his first year serving on the Drum Major team. Brayden is beyond excited to collaborate with everyone across the band after such a memorable first season. He is proud to make history with the band while marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, hosting the first UMass US Bands competition and collaborating with the Dance Team. Outside of music, Brayden enjoys driving buses for UMass Transit, going camping, and running with friends. He is always happy to chat and answer questions at @email
