Drum Majors and Field Staff

Jack is a sophomore music education and clarinet performance major from Wrentham, MA. Coming from the netline, this is his first year serving on the Drum Major team. He is very excited to meet all the new members and make lasting memories. Outside of band, Jack spends his time in the fine arts center practicing, and enjoys going to concerts and gardening. He is also a brother of Phi Mu Alpha, a fraternity in the band. After UMass, Jack plans on pursuing teaching or performing music. Rebekah is a senior Public Health major from San Diego, California! She enjoyed three years in the Flute section (Sparkle Hut!), with two years as a Field Staff and Section Leader; this will be her first year as a Drum Major. Rebekah is also a Sister of Tau Beta Sigma, a service sorority within the band! She is thrilled to be back with the group again and contribute to the Power and Class; outside of rehearsals and games, Rebekah works as a bus driver for UMass Transit, plays Tenor with the Pep band (#GoUMass), and drinks a whole lot of iced coffee in the ILC. Brayden is a junior music education and trombone performance major from Bridgewater, MA. Originally a member of the trombone section, this will be his second year serving on the Drum Major team. Brayden is beyond excited to collaborate with everyone across the band and welcome in a new class to the UMMB family. One of his favorite things about band is watching familiar faces grow over time, finding their path while incorporating music into their lives. Outside of band, he enjoys driving buses for UMass Transit, being outdoors, and attending concerts with friends. He is always happy to chat and answer questions at @email
