UMass Postdoc and ALMA Ambassador, Christopher Faesi, will host an ALMA proposal workshop in partnership with The National Radio Astronomy Observatory. Designed for all Astronomers, including graduate students and postdocs, this one-day workshop will include new capabilities, a discussion on mm interferometry basics, and overview of proposal preparation and submission. Much of the workshop will be dedicated to hands-on tutorials to prepare proposals for the upcoming April 15th ALMA Cycle 8 deadline. It will also involve imagine and simulation of ALMA interferometric data using CASA. Registration is required.
