Research Interests
Amongst the large scale structures in the universe, for me, galaxy clusters provide the most interesting sites to study the interactions between baryonic gas physics and the nature of dark matter/dark energy. I plan to study galaxy clusters at redshifts above 0.5 using the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect using a new high resolution, high sensitivity camera called TolTEC. To that end, for the past 3 years, I have been a member of TolTEC'sinstrumentation team with my focus on cryogenics design, system integration, and detector testing/analysis. TolTEC is currently completing its laboratory testing prior to being commissioned at the Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT) this winter.
