Research Interests

My research interests focus on galactic dynamics using simulations. In the past, I have worked on the distribution of intrinsic shapes and rotation of galaxies in the Illustris simulation, as well as their evolution. I have also performed some simulation to study the perturbation caused by a satellite galaxy passing through the disk of its host galaxy. My current work involves analyzing the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect of individual halosin simulations, which might be relevant to the physical models adopted forgas dynamics, star formation and feedback processes. Even though such effect is beyond the current resolution of observations, it is expected to be observable in the near future with the fast advance in high resolution telescopes, thereby providing constraints on the appropriate physical model for simulations.
