General Information
The Department of Astronomy, which is part of the greater Five College Astronomy Department, includes the Astronomy Departments of Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Hampshire College, and UMass Amherst. It currently consists of 17 research and teaching faculty (23 total in FCAD), 10 research fellows and associates, 100 undergraduate majors and 25 graduate students.
