COSTEP MA Webinar: Not If, But When: Navigating Climate Change and Protecting Cultural Assets in MA
Last week, Dee joined COSTEP MA (Coordinated Statewide Emergency Preparedness Massachusetts) as a presenter for a free webinar to share information on how cultural institutions in Massachusetts can begin developing a climate action and carbon mitigation plan to protect their collections and the often-historic buildings in which they are stored.
NASAA Panel: Navigating Climate Change
On October 24th, Dee will moderate the panel Navigating Climate Change held at the El Portal de El Yunque as part of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies’ annual conference, NASAA Assembly 2024. Panelists will include those from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Forest Service, and the Vermont Arts Council for a discussion on how and why state arts agencies can support and implement climate change awareness and actions through partnerships and training.
Ashfield Living Culture and Rural Climate Resilience Project
AES will support the Town of Ashfield, Double Edge Theatre, Ohketeau Cultural Center, and other partners as part of the Ashfield Living Culture and Rural Climate Resilience Project. The project will explore opportunities for collaboration among partners and community members around the interconnected issues of clean energy, affordable housing, and nature-based solutions to climate change. Additionally, AES will support the creation of a Case Study that shares the process, lessons, and their implications for uniquely rural climate resilience.
