ANNA VA POLESNY, MS, MFA is an artist specializing in leather, fiber and wearable art on an international level. She seeks an intern to learn and to assist in the creation of fiber art objects and the skills required in the management and marketing of an art studio.
Anna, a Master Teacher, is eager to engage the intern in creation as well as the business of art. From production to marketing, distribution, fundraising, grant and proposal writing, exhibition installation and the management of a working studio, Anna will role model and seek assistance in all necessary tasks.

Project based learning will provide opportunity for immersion in the life and creative enterprise of a highly functioning artist.
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: I seek a highly-motivated, intelligent, eager-to-learn individual as an intern, someone who wants to gain insights into the creative process and the organization and operation of a fiber art studio while developing professional skills working with an experienced artist.
Through effective multilayered marketing, the intern will learn the process of getting the work out into the world including exhibitions, markets, juried shows, museums, galleries with opportunity to observe and participate in the creative process using textiles and leathers including batik, printing, photo transfers, dyeing, machine and hand stitching and other fiber techniques.
Art students may take time to have work critiqued.
Experience in fiber is not necessary.
Experience in technology, especially web building and social media will be a real plus.
PERIOD OF INTERNSHIP: 16 weeks
