Are you an arts manager and cultural leader with three or more years of varied work in the arts management field? Good news! The Leadership Certificate is the next step to build your career in the arts.

The Leadership Certificate provides advanced skills and innovative knowledge necessary for emerging, mid-career, and accomplished arts managers to tackle the field’s changing issues with experienced faculty and peers from across the nation and around the world. The Leadership Certificate requires successful completion of four classes (earning a grade of C or better).

Requirements

The Leadership Certificate consists of four (4) classes:

Two (2) Special Topic Courses:

  • Cultural Equity in the Arts;
  • Cultural Policy and Advocacy or Creative Community Leadership.

Two (2) Advanced Courses – select from the following:

  • Board Development;
  • Creative Community Leadership;
  • Creative Economy and Placemaking;
  • Grantwriting for the Arts;
  • Greening Your Nonprofit Arts Organization;
  • Strategic Planning.
Application

Email a brief, 1-2 paragraph letter of interest (why you are interested in the program and what you hope it will do for your career) and a 1-2 page resume with related work experience and education to @email.

Please include a current mailing address and phone number. There is no application fee.

Deadlines to apply are:

  • December 31 for Spring Semester;
  • April 15 for Summer Semester;
  • August 15 for Fall Semester.
