Wall @ SAB

The Wall @ SAB provides an opportunity for students in the Department of Art to showcase their work and push the boundaries of their art making practice. Located on the second floor of the Studio Arts Building, the 8-foot tall by 13.5-foot wide wall is visible from the main entrance.

The Department of Art is currently seeking proposals for the Wall @ SAB. 2D works, assemblages, video, animation, site-specific or installation works are examples of possible formats for projects. Submissions are accepted throughout the year.

 

Submission Criteria:

  • Must be a current UMass undergraduate or graduate student art student. (BA, BFA, MA, MFA).
  • Applicants can propose solo or collaborative works.  
  • Students are responsible for the installation and deinstallation of their work. This includes restoring the wall to exhibition-ready condition.
  • There is a $200 honorarium awarded for the Wall project.
  • Artists will be notified via email if their projects are accepted.
