Looking to add 1 credit to your Spring 2025 schedule?
Undergrad artists Krystal F. Otis and Edwina Polanco are in search of eight dedicated student artists to produce new works for a themed exhibition in April/May at SUAG. All mediums and skill levels are welcome.
Deadline: Wednesday, January 29th, 2025
Exhibition dates: April 28th - May 9th, 2025
Exhibition Location: Student Union Art Gallery (aka SUAG)
Illusions of Certainty aims to address current political, social, and socioeconomic climates while simultaneously offering student artists an opportunity to channel their thoughts and feelings creatively and constructively. The theme offers students an opportunity to process and then communicate their sentiments on local and global subjects, issues, and events through their artwork. The exhibition will function as a collective opportunity to foster a closer sense of belonging, promote curiosity and inclusion, and facilitate a safe space for growth in the midst of discourse.
This exhibition is being curated by undergrad artists Krystal F. Otis and Edwina Polanco, and facilitated by Professor Young Min Moon. The eight student artists who are chosen to participate have the option to file an IS form before the Spring 2025 add/drop date to have this course added to their schedule. Thereafter, these students have until April 23rd, 2025 to produce and submit their finished work to receive 1 credit.
Interested? Please complete the open call form no later than Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 to be considered: https://forms.gle/pct4RpRmWc574pMPA
