If You Need Me, I Will Be Over Here
Angela Zammarelli
BFA Alumna Angela Zammarelli is a visual artist and parent of two small children, residing in Western Massachusetts. She received her B.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an M.F.A. from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Minneapolis, MN.
UMassFive College Credit Union and the UMass University Museum of Contemporary Art (UMCA) hosted an Artist Talk & Reception as she presented her work "If You Need Me, I Will Be Over Here, 2013". The work will be up until June 1.
Angela's work lives at an intersection of fantasy and reality. By using play in a broad context, she asks how fantastical elements call upon reality to give them meaning, and how observations in reality can slip into the fantastical through certain framing.
