Professor Galvis Assmus has worked in experimental and computer animation for over 25 years with an interest in multicultural iconography, graphic design and visual interaction using digital technologies. Originally from Colombia, S.A., she has created numerous films, been the Editor for SIGGRAPH's Computer Graphics Journal and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Prof. Galvis Assmus is also the Director of the Information Technology Program, Provost Office for the UMass Amherst campus.
