Destination Days: Open House & Tours

This event is geared toward prospective students and families, and is hosted as part of the annual University of Massachusetts Amherst Admissions Destination Days.

Information | Registration

The Department of Art Open House offers opportunities for guests to meet faculty, ask questions, join an info session with the Undergraduate Program Director, and take a tour of the department facilities, galleries, and studios. This year, faculty and staff will lead tours starting at Studio Arts Building then visiting Herter Gallery and the Bromery Center before ending in front of the University Museum of Contemporary Art. The info session and tour is approx. 1 hour -1.5 hours and involves moderate walking. Accessible doors and elevators are available at each building.

All registration for Destination Day events are organized by Admissions.

Schedule

Morning Session:
9:30-9:45 am — South College Commons:  Deans' Welcome
9:45-10:00 am — guests travel from South College to the Studio Arts Building (SAB)
10:00-11:00 am — Info Session (SAB Room 240) and Tour of Studio Arts Building
11:00-11:30 am — guests are welcome to return to South College to talk with current students OR continue with a visit to Herter Art Gallery and tour Bromery Center Arts Bridge
 
Afternoon Session:
12:30-12:45 pm —South College Commons:  Deans' Welcome
12:45-1:00 pm — guests travel from South College to the Studio Arts Building (SAB)
1:00-2:00 pm — Info Session (SAB Room 240) and Tour of Studio Arts Building
2:00-2:30 pm — guests are welcome to return to South College to talk with current students OR continue with a visit to Herter Art Gallery and tour Bromery Center Arts Bridge
