UMass Amherst students who have a strong interest in art, and who major in another area, may declare a minor in the Department of Art. To complete a minor in Studio Art, students must complete a total of 20-25 credits in the following areas: four-eight credits in Art History, six-eight credits in Foundations, and 9 credits in upper-level studio courses. No more than six credits may be transferred into the program.
