Working with overlapping animation, fiber sculpture, and printmaking, I speculate on how different species communicate, and how we care for creatures unlike ourselves. I spend a lot of time talking to my dog.
My pieces are shaped by slow, meticulous, or tedious processes, and recently I have been enamored with letting second-hand or found materials direct a project. As an autistic person with chronic illness, my work is also shaped by my unpredictable attention and energy.
