Bozena Jaworowski
Bozena Jaworowski, Ed.D., is an experienced art educator and mentor to pre-service art teachers. A UMass Amherst alumna, she earned both her M.A. in Art Education and Ed.D. from the university and has extensive experience teaching visual art in public schools and higher education.
Her work focuses on fostering creativity, reflective practice, pedagogical confidence, and culturally responsive practices in teacher candidates. Bozena emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, and artistic risk-taking, encouraging future teachers to create inclusive learning environments where all students feel valued and empowered to express themselves. As an artist, she focuses on painting and printmaking. She draws on this practice to support and mentor future art educators in developing thoughtful, engaging classrooms.
