The exhibition is on view from March 27 through May 8
At the March 27 opening of Crossing Narratives at the Augusta Savage Gallery, art and art history student Mirranda Longo posed with works she created in Angel Abreu’s workshop on Percival Everett’s James. The opening also featured a conversation moderated by Augusta Savage Gallery Associate Director Elana Casey.
Crossing Narratives, by Angel Abreu, grows out of his residency at the Augusta Savage Gallery and explores Everett’s Pulitzer Prize-winning reimagining of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from Jim’s perspective. In the lead-up to the exhibition, Abreu led a workshop on James, with participant work included in the show. The exhibition is on view from March 27 through May 8.
