Ranger Challenge Team
Each year, our Ranger Challenge team competes against all 42 of the other ROTC programs in Second Brigade, United States Army Cadet Command in a weekend-long, physical challenge. Individual through squad level tactics, capabilities, and physical challenges create an outstanding opportunity for the most motivated and dedicated cadets to compete and evaluate themselves against their peers.
Color Guard Team
Our Color Guard team presents our national colors at a variety of local and nationally televised events. We've presented our colors at Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins games, Veteran's and Memorial Day events, and a multitude of local football and hockey games across Western Massachusetts. Being a part of the Color Guard team is both a highly challenging and rewarding experience!
Community Outreach
While ROTC develops cadets into leaders for the Army, it also develops our cadets into better people overall. Community Outreach is a major point of our organization, focusing on helping those in need and creating a better community where we live. The photo on the left was taken during our annual holiday food drive, where cadets collected, and then ruck marched, donated food to a local food bank in time for the holiday season.
JROTC Mentorship
The draw of being part of something bigger than yourself or being a part of a tight-knit community is often something that draws people to the military. The purpose of JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens, and teaches high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Our ROTC routinely mentors JROTC cadets and participates in their activities, offering our cadets the ability to hone their own leadership and developmental skills while helping high school students develop and grow into America's next generation of leaders.
