Beneficial Invasive: A Rhizomatic Approach to Utilizing Local Bamboo for Covid Responsive Educational Spaces
A system for building lightweight, deployable structures out of the abundant invasive bamboos of the US becomes an opportunity to rethink the architecture of education as porous and allowed to expand outside the traditional building envelope to embrace the behavioral and learning benefits of exposure to nature and the outdoors through a case study application of the system to an existing school in Atlanta, GA.
