This exhibition investigates processes of visualizing a natural phenomenon in Fluid Dynamics, Vortex Induced Vibrations, through a collaboration among mechanical engineers, architects, and computer scientists. The drawings, models, and artifacts capture ways in which a phenomenon can be studied, interpreted and understood. Starting with a series of fluid mechanics experiments, which were used to produce architectural drawings, the project evolved into an augmented investigation that shed light on the scientific finding, while also proliferating to offer formal and spatial possibilities for architecture.
Exhibition collaborators/ producers:
